Differences Between Power Adapters And Regulators
Apr 07, 2017

1. Power adapter is a small portable electronic equipment and electrical appliances power supply conversion equipment, generally by the casing, power transformers and rectifier circuit composition, according to its output type can be divided into AC output and DC output type, straightforward can be interpreted as a voltage converter, such as the 110-220 kv AC voltage converted to a fixed DC voltage.

2. Regulator is a stable output voltage equipment, regulator with constant pressure, control circuits, and servo motors, as input voltage or load changes, control circuit sampling, comparison, amplification, and then drive the servo motor rotation, so that the regulator carbon brush position change, by automatically adjusting the coil turns ratio, thus maintaining the stability of the output voltage.
